Common Questions
For Daikin CTXJ-T indoor multi hi-wall models the issue relates to the selection of Comfort flow mode with vertical mode which in some installations can lead to room temperatures reaching up to 30°C.
If you are not experiencing this issue, you do not require rework.
Please check the model number on the right side of the indoor unit to see if your installed model could be affected. If it is not one of the model numbers indicated, you do not require rework. The indoor unit can be white or black.
If you are unable to locate your model number, please contact our Rework Technical Support Team on 0800 210 010, Mon-Fri (8:30AM – 5:00PM) and one of our technicians will assist you.

The performance, functionality, durability and the operation of the unit itself is not affected. The main issue relates to Comfort flow mode over-heating in some situations where the room capacity may be too small for the unit selected or there may obstruction to the air outlet. In these cases the air temperature may reach up to 30°C.
No. There is no risk to operating the air conditioning unit. You can continue to use your system as normal. Please manage the Comfort flow mode selection if the issue presents, or use the standard Auto or Heating mode to bypass the issue while waiting for rework.
The unit does not need to be replaced as the replacement of the PC Board with new software will solve the issue.
Daikin New Zealand will bear the reasonable cost of the rework.
If your unit is less than 5 years old, then your current warranty will still apply. The replacement part itself carries a 12-month warranty. Except where the purchaser has acquired the air conditioner for the purposes of a "business" as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, nothing in this statement shall affect the rights of the purchaser under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Yes.
If your unit is one of the affected units and you decide to have the PC Board changed, we will work with you to minimise any inconvenience.

Common Questions
There is an inconsistency between the circuit diagram and the wiring of a harness that is attached to a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This does not affect the safe operation of the unit. This issue can be simply fixed by changing the wire harness to a correct one.
This would be determined by the model of the indoor unit. To find this, check the rating plate on your outdoor unit. You will find 2 model numbers and a serial number.
The first model number is the outdoor model and the second model number (underneath) beginning with an F, is the indoor model. You can compare your indoor model number to the table above to determine if you have an affected indoor unit.
If you are unable to locate either of these model numbers or do not have access to the outdoor unit, please contact our Rework Technical Support Team on 0800 210 010, Mon-Fri (8:30AM – 5:00PM) and one of our technicians will assist you.
